Statement of Purpose
Growing up in a family that loved numbers and calculations was not only inspiring but also thought provoking. I did not endear to learn mathematics but my parents encouraged me to excel in the subject. I could think of anything in terms of numbers, and that said, I became a mathematics guru from junior school to the university. My family has been the source of motivation even when applying for advanced studies in mathematics or related fields.
I plan to study PhD in statistics from your graduate school. Having had a strong background in mathematics, I have a strong foundation to handle statistical models and problems at advanced levels. My deep understanding of mathematics has honed me with the numerical, critical thinking, and abstract skills to identify problems and provide solutions. Basically, statistics is founded on probability and uncertainty that is largely mathematical in nature. I choose your institution to pursue this program because it offers the best in terms of theory and practice.
