This is assignment that requires students to

1) demonstrate their understanding of the frameworks for comparative media analysis, and

2) critically evaluate one of those frameworks using a specific case study.

Part 1 is intended to scaffold the formative learning and assessment process by first asking students to focus on media theory/critical thinking, and demonstrate their understanding of the strategies, before selecting and critically applying one strategy to a case study of media practice. The two parts should work together, with a clear, cogent, coherent and consistent integration of their argument. They should be submitted as one document.
