As before, please place just the couplets themselves on the first page. Please double space and use a larger than usual font. Then, in 2-3 full pages (typed, double spaced, Times New Roman 12-pt font), discuss the following: why you selected the target you have satirized; how you conceived of the satiric triangle (the relationships between author, target, and audience); whether youve used high or low satire, and why; how this choice is reflected in your selections regarding imagery, diction, wit, rhyme and meter, etc.; which of our authors and assigned texts informed your approach, and in what ways (be specific); and how successful (or not) you think your final product is, and why.
