Each student is to write an essay of aound 2000 words on the allocated topic (4 pages). The topic being an area visited or lecture given during the Medical Physics visits.
The essay should give an overview/brief summary of the topic discussed or viewed and an outline of work undertaken.
The contents of the essay should include

5. For the lectures on equipment management and equipment incidents a general discussion of the two topics detailing their importance to the work undertaken in the hospital. Students allocated this topic should include other examples of incidents, what caused the incident and resultant actions to ensure the probability of the incident re-occurring was reduced.
6. For the lecture on equipment types choose two of the devices discussed and give a more detailed explanation of the history of the devices’ evolution, the basic device function and how it works, the clinical use or uses of the device and any safety issues relating to the use of the device.
