Should fizzy drinks and sweets be banned from schools?
Fizzy drinks and sweets such as sodas, and carbonated beverages are some of the cafeteria-item that are popular with students. These drinks give them higher energy since they contain a lot of sugar, however, in contrast to the energy given by these sugary drinks are serious health problems that may occur in the long run (Study International).
I believe that fizzy drinks and sweets should be banned from schools to reduce health-risks that the students may encounter in the future such as obesity, diabetes, and tooth-decay. Studies also show that there are observations that students who drink fizzy drinks, and eat sweets on a regular basis encounter problems regarding their concentration and behavior. With these, experts provided a basis for the recommended daily sugar intake of children: 4 to 6 year olds are only recommended to take 5 teaspoons of sugar, 7 to 10 year olds should take 6
