– Why did you pick this particular book to read? – Summarize the major points of the book. You may start out with the author’s thesis, talk about his/her methods or major points in the narrative, and identify the conclusion so Please note that I do not want a summary of the book! – Discuss how the book impacted your understanding of the issue or policy. What might be or could be the impact of the ideas discussed in the book on family and/or children’s policies? – Note, I am not asking you to identify a specific policy, but rather to consider the ways in which the issues discussed in the book could impact a policy areas such as child welfare, juvenile justice, education, etc. – Discuss the impact of the book on you personally. Did you get more details than you might have gotten on the topic if you had simply read an article? What did you like/dislike about the book? – Papers must be double-spaced with one-inch margins and in APA 7th edition style. This paper does not require an abstract.
