Hardy (2013) explores the issue of suppressed racial trauma and strategies for healing and transformation. The paper articulates the role that race plays in the suffering of young people. Through the article, the author elucidates further on the suffering that youth of color go through in silence and how this devastates their later life. Moreover, it describes redeeming tools for overcoming this trauma and better still, preventing it from happening in the first place.
