Directions: You will be writing a 500- word argumentative essay where you discuss a social issue. In this essay, you must use at least three sources (of your choosing- make sure you evaluate each one before using it to ensure that it’s credible). Choose a topic that is controversial. Remember that your topic has to be debatable. You are to introduce the topic, present your argument while also acknowledging a counter claim, and provide reasons and evidence for both! Remember: you are arguing for your topic while showing both points of view. You are to have a minimum of five paragraphs: Introduction, three body paragraphs, and a conclusion paragraph.
